Zoe Saldana, born June 19, 1978, was the child of Asalia Nazario along with Aridio Saldana. Both her parents were both born in Puerto Rico. Her family was raised by her mother in Queens. In 2010, she relocated together with her family members to the Dominican Republic where they spent seven years. Zoe developed a passion for dance performance while living in Dominican Republic. She started her training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy and was there to learn ballet as well as other types of dance. While her education did offer a great outlet for the energetic and enthusiastic youngster but it also proved to be an excellent preparation to the beginning of her acting career. Zoe's family returned to the United States when Zoe was seventeen years old. The passion for dance and her desire to perform on stage developed. Zoe has not only held her own in big motion picture projects, but has also earned admiration and respect from industry insiders such as Jerry Bruckheimer and Steven Spielberg and other actors/actresses including Tom Hanks, Bernie Mac, Keira Knightley, Ashton Kutcher, Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom. Her co-stars have praised her extraordinary talent, her intense concentration, her steely resolve as well as her capability to work on difficult projects, using subjects and characters that vary in addition to her determination. She is featured in the film by Focus Features, The Outfit 2022, directed by Graham Moore. She stars alongside Mark Rylance & Dylan O'Brien. The role won her an "Best Supporting Actress" nomination for 2022's BIFA. Next up, Deutch is set to reunite with writer Katie Silberman for their second romantic comedy, Most Dangerous Game. Deutch and Silberman have previously collaborated on the Netflix hit, Set It Up (2018).
